The ICM-funded brick-building machine has already started making bricks for the scouts’ project.

The ICM-funded brick-building machine has arrived in Lubanyi and has already made more than 2,800 bricks with which to construct the vocational training centre.

The Hydraform machine hydraulically compresses soil that contains a small amount of clay and silt mixed with cement into soil cement blocks, which can then be dry-stacked with no mortar.

The machine is portable so bricks can be produced anywhere, even in remote areas. Once the vocational training centre has been built, the machine can also be used in other construction projects that benefit the local community.

Not only will the vulnerable children benefit through learning new skills at the centre, local people can be trained in how to use the machine, making them more employable in the community.

There are only 47 days left until members of the 38th Bournemouth Scouts & Avon Explorers group visit Uganda to help build a vocational training centre for the vulnerable children and orphans of the Lubanyi community.

Thats truly a Godly action and may God bless ICM. Is it possible to fund such a project in Kenya. It surely can help very many poor families in eastern, north eastern and riftvalley provinces.

    Regards,

    Bernard
